SACRED HERITAGE
Temple History & Significance
Established in the 13th century by the Domakonda Samsthanam, this sacred kshetra is one of the rare temples in this region dedicated to kalabhairava Swamy, the fierce form of Shiva and the Lord of Time. The main delty here dates back to that era, reflecting the deep spiritual and historical roots of the temple.
Located in Isannapally village, Ramareddy Mandal, Kamareddy District, Sri Kalabhairava Swamy Temple stands as a powerful center of devotion. For centuries, it has been a place where thousands of devotees seek relief from planetary doshas and spiritual growth.
According to local belief, Ashtabhairavaas (eight forms of Bhairava) preside over the eight directions of this region, with Sri Kalabhairava Swamy protecting the northeast direction.
Every Tuesday, the temple vibrates with divine energy, attracting devotees for special prayers and rituals. The most significant celebration, Sri Kalabhairava Swamy Jayanthi, is observed on Karthika Bahula Ashtami with great devotion and grandeur, drawing large crowds from across Telangana.
The temple is open for darshan every day. Tuesday`s are considered the most auspicious day for Kalabhairava Swamy.
